About HFE

A common platform for European cooperation.

The Hindu Forum of Europe is an umbrella organisation representing Hindu communities and organisations throughout Europe. It provides a common platform for cooperation, consultation and advocacy at the European level.

HFE engages with European institutions and civil society to contribute Hindu perspectives to public policy, interfaith relations and social cohesion. It supports members in addressing equality, education, cultural heritage and community development.

We encourage responsible citizenship and active participation in European society while supporting initiatives that promote peace, human dignity and care for the environment.

Interreligious conference in Rome, 2026

Rome conference

The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue organised a conference at Angelicum in Rome. HFE was part of it. The theme was “Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jains and Sikhs in Europe: Building Fraternity through Dialogue and Collaboration.” Participants reaffirmed dialogue and collaboration as means of fostering understanding, solidarity and hope; moderators and presenters had a quick audience with the Holy Father.

Diwali in Moringen

Diwali was celebrated in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris in Moringen, Germany. An AGM was also conducted and a new team announced.

A Diwali programme was organised at Antwerp City Hall, attended by Ambassadors of Sri Lanka, Suriname and India alongside local political leaders. A cultural programme was presented on the occasion.
